Deviation Actions
It's the beginning of the next phase in my photography life. The deviations submitted today were the first I have taken on my new Nikon D7000. I've been toying with the idea of an upgrade for a while and I have been reading articles, reviews and gear tests on the model for ages. Probably you know what it's like (well, those of you who share my type of obsessive personality), at first it's an idea but the more you look at it somehow it comes to a head and eventually becomes an absolute and unarguable need, something which you can justify on at least 12 fronts to anyone querying your action, rather than a simple wish!
So, today I bought one! Loads of fun to be had learning it's secrets so looking forward to the next fews weeks!
It also means that I now have a very much loved and cared for Nikon D90 body, in immaculate condition and with only around 11k actuations, for sale at the bargain price of £400 (Check out my submissions on here if you want to see the quality it is capable of). Any takers?

I just got married!
On July 4th I married my beautiful Helen. Great day! Great honeymoon in Spain! Great life ahead of us!
Nikon back, I'm back!
Ok, what's been happening?
Moved in with my girlfriend, Helen, in September.
Had my Nikon away for service/re-set/sensor clean etc (Thanks, Nikon - great job!)
After nearly a year of being out of work, I licenced myself and have started running my own taxi.
Just come back from a week in Spain and have, at last, started taking some pics again!!
SO, I'M BACK!
May Exhibition
Thanks to an introduction by my good friend, Ron (Mariposa DecoArt), I had the opportunity to present my photography to the manager of the Morpeth Chantry Craft Centre, Gallery and Museum (run by Northumberland CC and part of the Tourist Information network) this morning.
The good news is that they liked my work very much and have allocated space for me to exhibit (and, hopefully, sell) my images throughout the whole of the month of May - just as the tourist season gets started! So, I have about 6 weeks to get displays and stock put together and get out to create some additional, really special, images before it kicks off!
Needless to say, I
Not letting the grass grow!
As one or two of you may know, I was made redundant in November and made the decision that I really didn't want to remain in London without a job and so have moved back to live in my native north-east after an absence of probably close to 30 years!
Yes, it's colder and less cosmopolitan but, know what? - the people are warmer! I am loving being around Geordies again and being able to spend time with my Mum (who has been very ill this past year), my two sons, my sister and mates I haven't seen for decades!
Of course, I am applying for conventional jobs but I am also working on getting something going involving my photography. After only two

If only it were $400 as opposed to 400 pounds...(644.517 USD) but even that price is not so bad. Just the body?
